Repairing Antminer L3+ Hash Board – Step 1

Today we went over step one from a repair guide to help diagnose a bitmain antminer l3+ hashboard.

This is the 1st step in finding how to fix or repair a faulty or broken l3 hash board.

we tested the board with just one power cord connected, without the io data cable plugged in.

we powered on the board, tested the boost circuit 14v at c1072, the dc-dc circuit 10v at c948 or c1221 depending on version.

after both passed, we tested each hash chip, starting from chip 1 to 72 using test points clk at 0.9v and ri at 1.8v

In this video we found a hash chip 36 had clk at 0v. this means that either the chip needs to be checked for a short or open circuit, reseated and retested, and possibly replaced.
